Discreet Camera App 1.9.2: the most stable version yet, now with Lock Screen mode
Discreet 1.9.2 is now available, bringing a more stable experience and a brand-new way to customize the black screen camera.
This update includes the usual bug fixes and internal improvements, making version 1.9.2 the most stable version of Discreet ever released. Alongside these stability improvements, Discreet now introduces a new Lock Screen mode, designed to make the camera screen look even more natural and realistic.
A more stable Discreet
Version 1.9.2 focuses strongly on reliability.
This release includes several bug fixes and improvements that make the app smoother, cleaner, and more dependable during daily use. Whether you use Discreet to take photos, record videos, manage files in the Private Gallery, or customize the camera screen, the experience is now more stable than ever.
The goal of this update is simple: fewer interruptions, better consistency, and a more reliable camera experience.
New Lock Screen mode
The main new feature in Discreet 1.9.2 is the new Lock Screen mode.
Until now, users could choose between the classic black screen and a custom image to replace the camera interface. With version 1.9.2, Discreet adds a third option: a realistic iPhone-style lock screen.
This new screen mode lets you replace the black screen with a lock screen inspired by the Apple style, complete with a working clock.
A realistic iPhone-style screen
The new Lock Screen mode has been designed to look familiar, clean, and natural on iPhone.
Instead of showing only a black screen or a custom image, Discreet can now display a realistic lock screen layout with a live clock that updates automatically. The result is a more polished camera screen that blends naturally with the iPhone experience.
This makes Discreet more flexible while keeping the app simple, minimal, and distraction-free.
Black screen, custom image, or Lock Screen
With Discreet 1.9.2, you can choose the screen style that best fits your needs.
Black screen The classic Discreet mode: a minimal black interface for taking photos or recording videos.
Custom image A personalized screen where you can use your own image instead of the black screen.
Lock Screen The new realistic iPhone-style lock screen with a working clock, introduced in version 1.9.2.
You can configure these options from the app Settings and choose how the camera screen should appear.
Update now
Discreet 1.9.2 is recommended for all users.
This version includes important bug fixes, improved stability, and the new Lock Screen mode, making Discreet more reliable and more customizable than ever.
As always, please use Discreet responsibly and only in situations where taking photos or recording videos is legal and respectful of other people’s privacy.
